Race Results 2012
The following information presents the outstanding results of last year's Sprint for Monroe. This information includes the results from the men's, women's and children's divisions. First, second and third place prizes were given in each division, as well as the annual Spirit Award. Recipients of these awards from the 2012 Sprint for Monroe are as follows:
This year’s race also celebrated the extreme athletic talent of Monroe locals from all age groups. The male winner of the event was Bryan Kovalsky with a time of 16:33. The female winner, for the second year in a row, was Helen Merkle who finished in 19:17.
In participants ages 12 and under, the first place male and female winners were Caitlin Walsh at 25:17, and Josh Bent at 21:21; in the age division 13-15, the first place male and female winners were Christina Walker at 24:00 and Clint Coloso at 17:16; in ages 16-19, first place awards went to Amy Klopp at 21:46, and Jake Duckworth at 17:08; first place winners in the 20-29 age division were Olivio Pruszko at 22:09, and Lenny Arias at 17:58; in the age group 30-39, the first place winners were Jennifer Sciscia at 24:01 and Kevin Boughan at 17:42; the winners in the age division 40-49 were Regina Lovely with a time of 22:22, and Wantuil Souza at 18:14; the winners in the age group 50-59 were Arline Culp at 25:32 and George Buchanan at 18:41; winners ages 60-69 were Mary Pelley at 26:23 and William Euerle at 25:17; winners ages 70-79 were Patty Carton at 33:08 and John Gibbons at 27:04; and the first place winner in age group 80 and over was George Whitney, coming in at 49:15.
